60 days of Insanity

Okay, it's been 60 days. Before you scroll down to the photos, bare with me as I explain my experience(s)
The Diet: Absolutely the most important thing. 40% of your diet is protein, 40% is carbs, and 20% is fats. No sweets! Sugars you can get from fruits. When I snacked, I snacked on nuts (which are fats and protein). I usually only ate fruit in the mornings to give me energy. I ate a lot of peanut butter, meat, eggs, beans, rice, protein shakes and bars (the bars had to have more protein then sugar). I drank water, a lot of water, water is need to absorb protein.
The Work Out: Insanity's goal is to make you lean and build cardio therefore I began every work out with a mile run and then did the work outs. I also played soccer (indoor and out) and softball once. The work outs were fine but the back up work out-ers were soo annoying!
Other Goals: I lost 23 pounds! 186 to 163.
My mile time went from 9:47 to 6:55
My waist went from 34-35 to 32
Clothes fit a lot better.
Anyway no cool video to showcase my metamorphosis, but if i did i would put on the song "highway to the danger zone"

Summer Post

It's been a busy summer! Being in school full time (15 credits) and working 30 hours a week is nuts. It sounded like a manageable feat to attempt this summer, but listen to me, it's busy and stressful. I was going to work 2 jobs, but I am so glad I didn't. I don't think I'd be alive to tell about it if I had. ha ha, but serious.

My opinion on Summer School:
  •  Fabulous to get a lot of credits in in a short time
  • If you have a crappy professor (which I've had 3) you only have to deal with them for either 6 or 12 weeks and it's over with
  • There is nothing slow about it
  • No such thing as vacation, overlapping assignments and projects
  • Group Projects are my new enemy
  • Stress Management is a class that gives you more stress than the rest of them
  • Summer school is bitter sweet
I have learned a lot this summer, not only in class, but also about myself. I have a breaking point and I reached that last night. I am not immortal like I thought. I am so happy I've been in school this summer, it's keeping me busy, and focused, and it's helped me to accomplish SO much. I do not regret being in school this summer at all, and I don't regret the amount of classes I've taken. It's been a great summer, I only that two weeks left, then finals. It's coming up quick and I am happy about that.

So, If you've thought about doing summer school, do it, it's worth it, just don't work more than 20 hours a week. And find teachers that don't do group projects. :)

I will hopefully post again once I'm done and not so busy. Thanks for all the support!!
