Honeymoon Adventures

And we were off for a wonderful honeymoon... or so we thought. Arriving up at the Mountian Side Marriott Hotel in Park City, what I thought were butterflies in the stomach I soon found out was the flu. Girls dream of going on romantic getaways for their honeymoon, but I figure that wouldn't always give you a good story to tell, but I can asure you we will never forget our honeymoon.

Some, like my dad, would be weirded out by the thought of spending the first couple days of your honeymoon with your new in-laws just a floor above you, but other would just think, "huh, interesting." I can say that having the in-laws just a floor above came in handy. At first my thinking was, that it would be awkward, or just plain weird to be staying the same hotel as Nathan's parents, and siblings, but I never thought I would be so grateful to have them there than I was the day after our wedding.

As I said in the begining what I thought were honeymoon butterflies, soon turned on me, and had me bent over the toilet all night long, dry heaving and throwing up stomach acid with my new husband holding my hand. Not a picture perfect way to spend the first coupld days as a married couple. Nathan also got sick on Saturday night and Sunday, he was miserable, it worried me so much. This is where it was so so nice to have Nathan's family staying just above us. Nathan and his dad Karl were able to give me a blessing while I was sick, and DeAnne helped to give us advice as to what I should eat so I can keep something in me. Having them so close turned out to be wonderful. As well as my family, when Nathan got sick my family was all that was around. Being a new bride, neither of us in good condition, I was worried about my new husband. I called my dad, shaken up, and worried, he calmed me down and thankfully he came up with the rest of my family that was at home to come up and give Nathan a blessing.

It was overall just such a blessing for us to have our family so close and to help us as we needed it that week. Though it was not picture perfect, it is memorable, and we will always be able to think back on it and laugh. Having times like that helps us to better apretiate the time we do get to be with each other, and the health we do have. Thank's to my wonderful, supportive and loving husband. I love you Naters!
